USB-A to USB-C adapter doesn't work
Greetings.
I want to connect the Omnicept to my desktop, which doesn't have a USB-C plug.
I bought a high speed USB3.1 adapter from Type A to Type C, but it doesn't work.
Any ideas what to do in this situation?

We are checking with the EE on the program to see if there are any limitations on adapters. When trying to repro with a USB Type C to Type A adapter in the lab, we are unable to repro and can use an adapter with Omnicept. Did you seat the cables in the order described on Early Access Hardware doc ?
What version of Omnicept are you running (Omnicept 1.7 or Omnicept 1.8)?

We are trying to procure you an adapter we can send out that will work for you. See below message from the electrical team:
There is a very wide variety of adapters out there, and some of them do not work well for our setup. We have validated one that is now shipped with all Reverb G2 (L56522-002), and that would be the best to recommend. Otherwise, even if specs match up, it’s impossible for us to know the performance without testing each.
One thing that could be a quick test is to flip the type C over in the adapter. Some adapters only wire up one side, so it has to be inserted in the correct orientation to function.
The card sent in the Amazon link will likely work, but it’s not one that we have validated, so no guarantee.
Let me know if you are still having issues with this adapter.

I tried flipping and that didn't work. I'll try a few more things tonight and report back.
I cant find anywhere to buy a L56522-002 adapter.

I tried a different adapter and it also didn't work. I cant find a L56522-002 adapter in Canada.
Can you guys ship me one?
For now I'm working on my laptop (that does have a USB-C port) but that's less than ideal.

Bug is filed against that server issue with the web console I am able to reproduce.
